Create a credit note for a customer/debtor.

This manual explains how to create a credit note for a customer/debtor in our web-based forwarding software. You can create an invoice correction in the same way.

  1. Go to “Accountancy>Debtors>Invoice registry” in the menu.
  2. Select “Direct credit note” in the drop-down at the top right. If you want to make an invoice correction, select “Invoice correction”. The next steps are the same for both approaches. The table with defined credit items is now displayed below.
  3. Select a credit item in the table.
  4. Click on “New”.
  5. Then complete the following fields:
    1. Customer – (The one who should receive the credit.)
    2. Shipment – (Does not need to be completed. This is important if the credit relates to a specific shipment.)
    3. Name – (Heading of the credit item.)
    4. Description – (Description of the credit item.)
    5. Date – (Date of the service.)
    6. Amount – (net amount of the credit item.)
  6. To add more credit items, you can click the plus “+” and then go through point 5 again. However, you can also add further credit memo items to the credit memo at the end of this description.
  7. Click “Next” to confirm the entries. The credit note has now been created.
  8. Finally, click on “Save” to save the credit note and to assign a credit note number.
